Founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons reflect on their historic career in the four-hour, two-night event that aired June 27th-28th. Today, however, Paul Stanley is taking to social media to walk back statements he made in what was billed as the definitive KISS documentary.

Synopsis:
After 50 years of rocking and rolling all night and partying every day, the #1 Gold Record selling band of all time, KISS, shares their story of success before finally smashing their last guitar and extinguishing the fire-breathing demon. Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, along with current members Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer will also be joined by guests. Including Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) and Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine). Plus manager Doc McGhee (Motley Crue, Bon Jovi), music producer Bob Ezrin (Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd), and more.
In Biography: KISStory, Stanley referred to Destroyer producer Bob Ezrin as a “functioning addict” during their time in the studio together. In addition to KISS, Ezrin has produced albums for Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Peter Gabriel, Andrea Bocelli, and Phish. Moments ago, Stanley took to Twitter saying he misspoke.
Fans and critics alike consider Destroyer one of KISS’s best albums ever. The band’s fourth studio album was released on March 15th, 1976, and includes the tracks “Detroit Rock City”, “God of Thunder”, “Beth”, and “Shout It Out Loud”.
