Neil Marshal Says Probability of DOG SOLDIERS Part 2 is “Semi-Likely”

While Neil Marshall is making the rounds in support of his upcoming plague/witchcraft horror movie The Reckoning (available today on VOD) he’s still hoping to turn his first major success, Dog Soldier (released in 2002), into a trilogy.

Synopsis:
During a routine nighttime training mission in the Scottish Highlands, a small squad of British soldiers expected to rendezvous with a special ops unit instead find a bloody massacre with a sole survivor. The savage attackers of the special ops team return, and the men are rescued by Megan (Emma Cleasby), a zoologist who identifies what hunts them as werewolves. Without transport or communications, the group is forced to retreat to a farmhouse to wait for the full moon to disappear at dawn.

In a recent interview with Bloody-Disgusting’s “Boo Crew” Marshall reiterated that he’s always imagined Dog Soldiers as a trilogy:

Dog Soldiers was always intended to be a trilogy,” he told the podcasters. “So, the rights for that have been tied up for quite some time, but now there’s the possibility of a Dog Soldiers 2, finally.”

So how likely is it will actually get a Dog Soldiers sequel?

“The initial rumblings are happening. So that’s looking semi-likely, we’ll see.”

Obviously, this is far from a confirmation–but it’s still enough to get Dog Soldiers fans howling!
