Collecting Lambs, Walking Dead and Skullfaces

We’ve got a lot of toy/collectible news today, so I’ve decided to put it all into this nice big article. Special thanks to Paul Nomad for gathering all this up for us!
First let’s take a look at something from Organic Hobby. I am not familiar with the manga character Skull Man, but his statue sure kicks some ass, and luckily we were given lots of info thanks to a press release.
Organic Hobby, Inc in conjunction with Happinet proudly introduces its two new products for the U.S. market, G.R.O. Skull Man (Color & Silver Version).
The character ‘Skull Man’ is based on a manga series with the same name created by Shotaro Ishinomori which first appeared in Shonen Magazine in 1970 and immediately caused a sensation, selling over 1.5 million copies and later adapted into a TV series known as ‘Kamen Rider (or Masked Rider).’ The hero, orphaned when his parents were murdered, grows up to use his peculiar powers to take his revenge. The original Skull Man was one of manga’s first anti-heroes, someone who would sacrifice the lives of innocents in his quest for vengeance. This darkness is what made the Skull Man so magnetic and successful. ‘G.R.O. Skull Man (Color & Silver Version)’ are 10″ tall Polyresin statues and comes in a window box with a custom base for display.
Next up is the latest zombie statue based on Robert Kirkman’s exceptional comics called The Walking Dead. If you haven’t yet seen or read at least one of the graphic novels then shame on you (“Kirkman Speaks of the Dead” – September 2007).
CS Moore Studio gave a glimpse of this newest statuette, named “Andrew,” to Action-Figure today. This rotten little buddy should be available for preorder at the end of January for about $24.95.
After tackling Marvel Comics, Star Trek and Back to the Future to name a few, Art Asylum is moving on to something a little more tasty.
Action-Figure got in two new pics of Minimate versions of Silence of the Lambs most iconic characters: Clarice Starling, Buffalo Bill and two Hannibals (One in blue and the other in orange). Each figure will come with various mini-props from the film including Hannibal’s face-mask and straight jacket to name a few.
There’s no exact release date for these new figures, but they will be out sometime this year.
