First Look at Matthew McConaughey Through a Sea of Trees

Japan’s Aokigahara Forest is the stuff of nightmares and has been for some time. Several movies are on the way utilizing this truly frightening locale, the biggest budgeted of which is Gus Van Sant’s Sea of Trees, starring Matthew McConaughey.

McConaughey stars alongside Naomi Watts, Katie Aselton, and Ken Watanabe.

Written by Chris Sparling Sea of Trees tells the story of a suicidal American (McConaughey) who befriends a Japanese man (Watanabe) lost in a forest near Mt. Fuji as the two search for a way out. No idea how Dread worthy this one will be, but we’ll keep an eye on things for you.
