Platinum Dunes and Paramount Again Join Forces for Found Footage Thriller RaindropIt wasn’t long ago that we collectively cringed at the thought of Michael Bay producing a found footage flick. And now it’s time to cringe all over again. Steady yourselves and read on for details.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Bay’s company, Platinum Dunes, will re-team with Paramount Pictures on Raindrop, a handheld sci-fi thriller that will be written by Jason Pagan and Andrew Stark. Pagan and Stark previously wrote Almanac, the other found footage collaboration between Platinum Dunes and Paramount that we recently told you about.

Though plot details are being wrapped up tighter than Boris Karloff, the word is that Raindrop will have a higher budget than Almanac, which is set for release on February 28th of next year. All we know for now is that it’s a found footage movie with sci-fi leanings and that it will feature a teenage protagonist.

At least it’s not a remake, right?!
