Change.org Petition Launches for Third American McGee’s Alice Game

In 2000, a game designer called American McGee released Alice, a dark and psychologically messed up take on Lewis Carrol’s Alice in Wonderland, to glowing reviews. Then in 2011, the sequel, Alice: Madness Returns, also directed by McGee, was released to less critical acclaim and low sales.
The chances of a third game seemed dead until a new petition took of on Change.org, asking EA (yes they were both published by EA, they really do take risks sometimes) to recognise McGee’s genius and make a third game. A section of the petition is below, read the full thing here.
“EA, from all of us that have had the honor of getting to play the masterpieces that we call, the Alice games, we have one simple request; a request that has been asked of you by many fans, but has gone similarly ignored; maybe this request in the form of a petition, backed by us “Alice fans” sheer numbers will be enough for our voices to be heard by you.”
Now McGee himself has joined in, tweeting: “Doubt this will change any minds at EA, but what the hell, sign the petition for a new Alice game!”
So although it does seem unlikely, we could be falling down the rabbit hole for one more seriously fucked up trip to Wonderland.
