A Norwegian Christmas Nightmare Arises with O'Hellige Jul (O Holy Christmas)Everything seems more intense when it’s Nordic. Death metal, blondes, the Swedish Chef. The list goes on. Must be a Viking thing. Directors Magne Steinsvoll and Per-Ingvar Tomren hope to add that intensity to Christmas horror with O’Hellige Jul (which translates to something like O Holy Christmas).

According to NordicFantasy.info, a site dedicated to sci-fi, fantasy, horror and exploitation from the Nordic countries, O’Hellige Jul is from a pair of Norwegian directors intent on making a 70’s-style low-budget slasher… holiday themed, of course. It promises lots of rape, gore and blood. How’s that for Christmas cheer?

The film debuted on December 13 in Molde, Norway, so she’s out there if you want to track her down! Eline Aasheim stars with Tormod Lein, Magne Steinsvoll and Per-Ingvar Tomren.

More on when and where you can see this holiday heinousness when we get the info. If you’re curious (and can speak Norwegian), follow O’Hellige Jul on Twitter (@OHelligeJul).
