20 Kick-Ass Vintage Horror Movie Newspaper Ads

There was a time when newspapers ruled the roost in terms of getting information, and one of the greatest sections of these now sadly archaic items was the movie section. Back in the day folks would go tearing through these inky things just to see if there were any new horror movies coming out on Friday.
Sure, sometimes we couldn’t even see them for a variety of reasons… anything from being too young (not that I let that stop me as sneaking into theaters to see R-rated movies was an art form, and I was a Picasso) or not being able to find anyone to go with. As fans we just liked knowing they were out there and that one day… oh yes, one day they will be seen.

Those days are long gone, and the movie sections have become pretty generic. That being said, nostalgia has taken over, and we’re now happy to share just a few of the ads that got our ghosts back in the day.
