Predator: Hunting Grounds Trailer Shows a Predator and Hunting and Grounds

Today the latest trailer for Predator: Hunting Grounds has arrived. The trailer shows that the game does indeed seem to follow the plot of the original film. A squad of American soldiers arrives in Central America to fight some guerilla forces. While they are wrapping up their own little kerfuffle, the squad begins to be picked off by a Predator, hunting them for sport. Despite the fight being like 8 against 1, the Predator is very very successful, and almost wins.
This trailer is almost entirely composed of gameplay. There is a firefight in the beginning between the Americans and guerillas, and only after does the fight with the Predator begin. Predator: Hunting Grounds seems to have a style of “asymmetrical multiplayer,” a bit like Evolve. Four soldiers with a varied arsenal of firearms versus one Predator. And the abilities the Predator has are pretty powerful. Beyond running through the trees, high jumps, and really fast running, the Predator also has access to impressive gear. This trailer displays the active camo, a presumably high tech throwing spear, and that weird gun with the three laser pointers on it. You know the one.
Predator: Hunting Grounds is scheduled for release this upcoming Friday, on April 24th. Although there appears to be a disappointing lack of Dillon, Dutch, and Long Tall Sally, the game looks like a lot of fun and a good recreation of the movie.
