#NYCC2015: Eric Heisserer Revamping Lone Wolf 2100 as Monthly Series for Dark Horse

More actual comics news came out of the New York Comic Con today as Dark Horse announced that it will be releasing Lone Wolf 2100 as a monthly series, and the writer is a name that’s quite familiar to horror fans.
From the Press Release:
From screenwriter Eric Heisserer (Shaper) and artist Miguel Sepulveda (Red Lanterns, Action Comics) comes Lone Wolf 2100, a reimagining of Kazuo Koike’s classic manga Lone Wolf and Cub set in the not-too-distant future.
“It’s a genuine privilege to get to write for a title as iconic as Lone Wolf and Cub, and the 2100 setting allows me an opportunity to tell a fresh iteration of this story,” said Heisserer, who penned The Thing and A Nightmare on Elm Street (as co-writer) remakes as well as Final Destination 5. “The best science fiction holds up a mirror to contemporary society and exaggerates all its flaws (but also its beauty). That’s what I aspire to do with the ideas behind Lone Wolf 2100.”
Lone Wolf 2100 #1 (of 4) will be in stores January 6, 2016, from Dark Horse Comics.
Synopsis:
