In ‘Crabs’ Giant Human Devouring Kaiju-Style Crabs Are Out For Blood [Trailer]

Aquatic horror comes ashore with the upcoming creature feature, Crabs. And these aren’t the typical blue crab you see scuttling across the sand. No, these are horseshoe crabs, who look more like aliens than crustaceans. Plus, they’re thought to be older than the dinosaurs, which makes these sea creatures even more terrifying without director Pierce Berolzheimer’s horror twist.

Here, his horseshoe crabs grow into six-foot-tall creatures with a taste for human flesh. In the trailer alone, viscera coats the streets and sand of a small beach town. Think The Bay, but funnier and more over-the-top.

In Crabs:

“Mutated by nuclear runoff a horde of murderous horseshoe crabs descend on a sleepy California town causing Prom Night terror. As the deadly crustaceans claw their way through the disbelieving population, it’s up to a ramshackle band of students and police to address the increasingly ginormous crab menace in a love letter to such practical effects horrors as Gremlins and nostalgic Roger Corman classics.”

There’s going to be white tuxedos covered in blue blood, bongs used as weapons, samurai swords, and so much more.

Watch the trailer:

Dylan Riley Snyder, Jessica Morris, Robert Craighead, Allie Jennings, Bryce Durfee, and Chase Padgett star in the film.
