Get ready for more spooky smooches, because Sucker for Love: First Date is getting a sequel. At PAX West 2022, Dread Central’s sister site DreadXP released the first trailer for Sucker for Love: Date to Die For! That means there are even more cosmic horror abominations to woo and love.
The game introduces a new protagonist, new abominable love interests, new occult rituals, and a whole lot of heartache. According to the trailer, it seems you can romance Rhok’zan, the black goat of the woods.

Released in January 2022, Sucker for Love: First Date puts the “love” back into “Lovecraftian horror,” tasking players with conducting occult rituals in order to win the affection of an Eldritch goddess. This subversive and bizarre take on the visual novel dating genre was created by independent game developer Joseph “Akabaka” Hunter.
Prepare for more horrific romance when the sequel releases later this year. Sucker for Love: First Date is available for purchase on Steam, the Epic Game Store, and Itch.io for $9.99 USD.
