Goldust Wrestling with The Fire Witch

Dustin Runnels is most famous by his World Wrestling Entertainment persona Goldust, a sexually ambiguous, Hollywood-obsessed wrestler whose gold-painted appearance is said to have been modeled on the Oscar statue. Now it appears the movie-quoting grappler is hoping to one day quote one of his own movies.
The other day Goldust/Runnels tossed out the unexpected news on his Twitter account (@WWEGoldust) that he is going to make and star in a horror movie:
“Next thanksgiving I will be shooting my first movie….the fire witch…that I will be directing and producing…and will be in it. Just in the starting stages…..but will let you know more when more is known. It won’t be a wrestling movie….it is a horror film. It will be a low budget film and my very first…..lots of work ahead.”

Speaking of WWE and horror movies, given how cheap it is to produce a slasher movie, am I alone in finding it hard to believe WWE Films has never produced a straight-to-DVD follow-up to See No Evil considering the Kane-starring slasher flick was the studio’s most profitable movie to date? Oh, right, I forgot they’re strictly in the family film business now. Yeah, because flying around in a pink tutu did so much for The Rock’s career this year.
