Charles S. Dutton Has Powers

When we first saw Charles S. Dutton hit the acting scene decades ago, we knew one thing for sure: The man had powers. He fought a Xenomorph without weapons for god’s sake! You need a hefty sac just to attempt such a thing!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Charles S. Dutton has been cast in FX’s drama pilot “Powers”. The actor, best known for playing the title character in Fox’s 1990s dramedy “Roc” and for kicking ass while preaching in Alien 3, will play Captain Cross, the head of a homicide police department where detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim investigate crimes involving those with superpowers.
The pilot is based on the graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming and centers on a pair of detectives who deal with cases involving people with superpowers.
The script was written by Charles “Chic” Eglee (“The Walking Dead”), and Michael Dinner (“Justified”) directs the pilot. More soon!
