It is with a sad heart that we must report the passing of comedian Don Rickles in his Los Angeles home at age 90 due to kidney failure.

Rickles was known to many as one of the premier insult comics of his day. His shtick was built upon the ability to mock anyone and everyone, regardless of sex, gender, economic status, or anything else that might make a person “off-limits.”

While he didn’t dabble much in horror, he appeared in two roles that some might remember. First was his appearance as Mr. Ingels in the “Tales from the Crypt” episode “The Ventriloquist’s Dummy.” Secondly, he was Emmanuel ‘Manny’ Bergman in the 1992 vampire thriller Innocent Blood.

We send our deepest condolences to his friends, family members, and the countless people who laughed and smiled because of his humor.
