E3 2018: Sega Release Ultraviolent Trailer For FIST OF THE NORTH STAR: LOST PARADISE: US Version Will Contain Extra Gore

Although they’re best known for Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega have also released an absolute ton of M-rated games over the years, so it probably won’t surprise you to know that the E3 trailer for the upcoming Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise is quite possibly the bloodiest trailer from the whole event. In addition to the copies amounts of blood and exploding heads, there are also a few F-words in the trailer, so definitely don’t watch it if you’re at work.

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise was released in Japan in February, and was developed by Ryu ga Gotoku Studio, the team behind Sega’s successful Yakuza franchise, hence why the combat looks so familiar. Because of Japan’s strict restrictions when it comes to graphic violence in video games, the version of Lost Paradise released in the west will contain noticeably more blood and gore than its Japanese counterpart, which Sega proudly describe as ‘Extra Carnage’. We’ll be able to revel in the additional bloodshed when the game releases on PS4 in the US on October 2.

Fist of the North Star originally debuted in 1984, and has gone on to become of the bestselling manga series in history, having sold over 100 million copies. The series follows of the exploits of a martial artist named Kenshiro as he attempts to defend the innocent in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by bandits and warlords. In addition to videogames, the manga has also been adapted into an anime series and a live action film.
