Well then, this is certainly some more good news when it comes to Anchor Bay’s upcoming 35th anniversary Blu-ray of John Carpenter’s Halloween.

Last week we told you that Anchor Bay was prepping another Halloween Blu-ray and that director John Carpenter has reunited with star Jamie Lee Curtis to record a new commentary track. Today we got word that the film’s cinematographer, Dean Cundey, will be supervising the new HD transfer.

This is great news for anyone who considers the more recent Halloween transfers to have been lacking that certain special something. We’ll keep you updated, but this latest news already makes the disc a must-own.

Halloween stars Donald Pleasence, Jamie Lee Curtis, Nancy Kyes, P.J. Soles, and Charles Cyphers and tells the tale of a psychotic murderer institutionalized since childhood who escapes on a mindless rampage while his doctor chases him through the streets.
