Regular readers of Dread Central know that we’re huge supporters of Chris Roe and his burgeoning horror series, Cemetery Tales. The first installment, A Tale of Two Sisters, has been igniting the festival circuit in 2019 and, this weekend, the production added another laurel to its crown.

Roe won Best Director at the Crimson Screen Film Festival for Cemetery Tales: A Tale of Two Sisters over the weekend in Charlotte, South Carolina. The short film stars Traci Lords, Michael Broderick, Bruce Davison, Roslyn Gentle, and Monte Markham.

“This is one of those films that really grabs some people,” Roe told us recently. “Audiences are really noticing the beauty of the black and white brought to life by our DP, Alex Wysocki, the fabulous music score by Jonathan Hartman, the great editing by Mike Bruining, and the wonderful costuming by Kris Deskins. People who are really into film don’t miss those key components.”
