Black Horror Authors Talk Their Personal Writing Journeys [Watch]

Black horror authors We Are Here To Hurt Each Other

Writers Ryan Kinney, Paula D. Ashe, and Wi-Moto Nyoka love all things terrifying. Kinney and their short story collection There’s Something Wrong In Morrington County is unabashedly Black and queer. Ashe’s new collection We Are Here To Hurt Each Other is body horror galore. Nyoka writes anything from short stories to TV pilots. While they’re united by horror, each has their own brand of terror they’ve unleashed onto the world.

Sharai Bohannon, a playwright herself when not writing for Dread Central, sat down with Kinney, Ashe, and Nyoka to talk about their writing journeys, scaring readers, and more.
