As awesome as zombies are, I’m pretty sure that most of us wouldn’t want to turn into one. Which is something explored in the upcoming film An Accidental Zombie (Named Ted), in which our eponymous hero finds himself reluctantly transforming into one of the living dead. To make matters worse, Ted also happens to be in love with a vampire.

Cameron McKendry, who will soon be seen in My Friend Dahmer, stars as Ted, with Akari Endo as his vampire lover Livia. The supporting cast includes Gary Anthony Williams, Naomi Grossman, Sandi McCree, Tanya Chisholm, and Timothy Brennen, with Jason Voorhees actor Kane Hodder also making an appearance. Anne Welles, whose previous credits include Paradise Boys and Curtis Takes a Wrong Turn, directs.

An Accidental Zombie (Named Ted) does not yet have a release date, but you can enjoy the hilarious trailer below.

An Accidental Zombie (Named Ted) is a different kind of zombie movie; it’s a multi-ethnic, woman-helmed zombedy zom-com.
This is the debut of writer/director/producer Anne Welles; currently seeking domestic and international distribution, An Accidental Zombie (Named Ted) stars Kane Hodder (Jason in the Friday the Thirteenth franchise), Naomi Grossman (Pepper in American Horror Story), Gary Anthony Williams (The Boondocks), Sandi McCree (The Wire), Tanya Chisolm (Big Time Rush), Chris Attoh (African star), Korin Bukowski (The Voice) among many others.

SFX Makeup was done by Greg Solomon (Se7en, I Am Legend) and legendary folk musician Dan Bern (Walk Hard, Get Her To The Greek) created original music for the soundtrack.
