Fans of Capcom’s immensely successful Ghosts ‘n Goblins franchise will be pleased to learn that the latest entry in the series, Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection, is now available on the Nintendo Switch. Capcom have been enjoying a winning streak lately, and judging from the early reviews, Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection is going to be another winner for the Japanese publisher. Developed internally by Capcom, Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection takes the franchise back to its roots, with Sir Arthur once again embarking on a side-scrolling adventure to rescue Princess Prin Prin from the Demon Lord. True to the earlier instalments in the series, Resurrection features a vast array of monstrous enemies for Arthur to face, with the brave knight needing to fight everything from giants to skeleton warrior throughout his quest. And while it features a total of four difficulty settings and can probably still be enjoyed by casual gamers, Resurrection has also been praised for not shying away from the challenging gameplay which the series is known for, so be prepared to die over and over again before reaching the end credits.
You also don’t need to have played the original games to understand the plot, as Resurrection serves as a kind of loose remake of the first two games in the series, making it ideal for both newcomers and hardcore fans. While there are currently no plans for a physical release, Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection is available digitally on the Switch for $29.99, so Switch owners should waste no time jumping into Arthur’s latest spooky adventure.
