Tom Hardy (1)Tom Hardy will produce and possibly star in an adaptation of Brian Azzarello’s acclaimed comic series 100 Bullets, as we learn from The Hollywood Reporter.

The series follows the mysterious Agent Graves, who approaches people who have been the victims of crime, giving them a handgun, 100 bullets and documentation about the culprits and promising them anonymity if they take matters into their own hands. It was published by DC’s adult imprint Vertigo, of which all film adaptations will be distributed by New Line Cinema, a subsidiary of Warner Bros., who owns DC.

Legendary DC writer Geoff Jones and creative director Adam Schlagman and New Line’s Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, and Dave Neustadter will produce.

If Hardy does indeed star in the film, it will be his second role in a DC film after Bane. He will next be seen playing the Kray Twins in Legend, in The Revenant opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, and is also signed on to play Sam Fisher in a Splinter Cell film adaptation.
