Several years after becoming a viral internet phenomenon, we’re going to be getting a Hollywood movie based on Slender Man. Directed by Sylvain White (“Sleepy Hollow”, Stomp the Yard, The Losers), The Boston Globe reveals that the film will be shooting this summer from June 19th through July 28th.

According to Deadline Joey King and “The Affair’s” Julia Goldani-Telles have been tapped to co-star in the horror thriller along with Captain Fantastic actress Annalise Basso, Jaz Sinclair (When The Bough Breaks), Talitha Bateman (upcoming Annabelle: Creation), and Alex Fitzalan. Screen Gems will distribute the film May 18, 2018, and is co-producing with Mythology Entertainment, Madhouse Entertainment, and It Is No Dream Entertainment.

Scripted by David Birke and Mike Scannell, Slender Man revolves around a tall, thin horrifying figure with unnaturally long arms and a featureless face, who is reputed to be responsible for the haunting and disappearance of countless children and teens.
