Survival of the Dead
We already knew the Season Two premiere of "The Walking Dead" is kicking off AMC's 2011 Fearfest celebration, and we now have a few more details to share, including the fact that one of Dread Central's favorite directors, George A. Romero, is hosting the event!
Zombies, zombies, zombies. We’ve been in the midst of a filmic zombie invasion for quite some time now, and with "The Walking Dead" tickling fans’ fancies across the nation, it doesn’t look like the undead will be trying to find more room in Hell any time soon.
As such, it seemed like a good time to catch up with (drumroll) Mr. GEORGE! A.! ROMERO! (APPLAUSE!)

For those not playing along, our own Uncle Creepy has done several commentary tracks for movies, but for whatever reason his work has often been shelved. It's a really weird and amazing feeling to know that right now horror fans from anywhere in the world can go to a store and buy a movie that I'm actually friggin' in! To celebrate, we figured we may as well give away a couple of copies so fans can see their old Uncle Creepy go to work on the living in the most brutal way imaginable!

Continuing their love affair with all things horror (we totally approve, by the way) the cats over at the "Cinema Cool Show" recently sat down with the maestro himself, George A. Romero, to talk his special brand of zombie flicks starting from Night of the Living Dead all the way up to his latest release, Survival of the Dead.
If there is one man who created an entire subgenre for horror fans, it is the legendary George A. Romero. Once his zombies started shambling onto the screen, all the rules of the living dead changed.
