2010 is starting to wind down, which means it's time for all the various awards shows to begin rearing their heads. First up are The People's Choice Awards, which have a new category this go-round for Favorite Horror Movie. Here are some of the genre nominee highlights:
Now that we know what's "wrong" with "Supernatural"'s Sam Winchester, it's time for him to prove to Dean that, no matter what, they are still brothers. Which is the thrust of the preview clip provided to us by The CW for the show's upcoming Episode 8, "All Dogs Go to Heaven".
By now fans of "Supernatural" should all be clued in to what's up with Sam, but in case you're not yet fully up-to-speed, we won't spoil it for you here in this first paragraph. Just beware that you probably won't want to check out this latest clip from Episode 7, "Family Matters", in which Castiel and Dean diagnose him.
If you watched last Friday's episode of "Supernatural" and stuck around for the preview of this week's ep, "Family Matters", then you already know the big reveal of just what's up with Sam and his odd behavior. If not, then read on because we have the preview right here!
It's no secret that many members of the Dread Central staff are big fans of The CW's "Supernatural" so when Titan Books asked if we'd be interested in posting an exclusive extract from its upcoming Supernatural: The Official Companion Season 5, of course we jumped at the chance.
November Sweeps time is coming, which means The CW is pulling out all the stops for its shows, including "Supernatural", for which they released new stills from upcoming Episodes 6 and 7, entitled "You Can't Handle the Truth" and "Family Matters", respectively, as well as giving us a heads-up as to what Episodes 8 and 9, airing November 12 and 19, will be about.
It’s ironic. The profession of horror journalism (or horror literature of filmmaking for that matter), at least for this writer, was initially and unsurprisingly inspired by my love of all things Halloween; yet, the subsequent October workload which has resulted often forces me to miss the simple trappings that launched my macabre interest in the first place.
Judging from the way Sam Winchester has been acting in the past couple of "Supernatural" episodes, we're going out on a limb and assuming that brother Dean is the one who can't handle the truth that will be revealed in the upcoming Episode 6. Watch the following two previews from the ep, and let us know if you agree.
Now here's a cause we can get behind! For the first time ever, TV Guide is letting the fans decide which show should be on the cover of the December 13th issue. Thanks to its incredible fanbase, "Supernatural" has been nominated along with five other shows, and here at Dread Central we're obviously rooting for the Winchesters to win.
Talk about your "holy shit!" kind of news. In some of the best guest star casting news we've ever heard, it appears that Robert Englund is going to be appearing in this season of "Supernatural" -- on December 10th to be exact!

They may have relegated "Supernatural" to Friday nights, but that doesn't mean The CW doesn't still take care of the show's fans with a plethora of stills, clips, etc.; and today they give us a few behind-the-scenes photos of Jensen Ackles directing his first ep

"Supernatural" fans on Team Jensen have a lot to be excited about this week as on Friday, October 15th, they'll have a chance to check out the episode he directed (i.e., "Weekend at Bobby's"). The trade-off is that he won't be appearing in it very much.
