January 5 & 6, 2012, on The CW: Synopses for The Vampire Diaries, The Secret Circle, and Supernatural
Christmas hasn't even gotten here yet, but The CW is obviously ready to ring in the New Year as the network also known as a genre fan's best friend has provided us with synopses for the mid-season returns of "The Vampire Diaries" (Episode 3.10-"The New Deal"), "The Secret Circle" (Episode 1.10-"Darkness"), and "Supernatural" (Episode 7.11-"Adventures in Babysitting"). Read on for all the details.
Dinner for Fiends is back for what may be its final installment of the year. There’s not a whole lot of horror going on at the movies of late – unless you count how much money the latest Twilight sequel has made – so in addition to Breaking Dawn we’re mostly talking quality horror on TV today.
Coming off this past Friday night's mid-season finale of "Supernatural", one thing is certain: In order to set things right, the Winchester boys need nothing short of a miracle. Could that miracle come in the form of Castiel?
After the gut-wrenchingly emotional turn last Friday night's episode of "Supernatural" took, we were hoping that when the show returns from its winter hiatus, it will provide fans with a bit of levity; however, from the looks of this teaser preview from Episode 7.11, "Adventures in Babysitting", things are just going from bad to worse. Check it out!
Supernatural: Sera Gamble Introduces Episode 7.10 - Death's Door; Jensen & Jared Have a Message for Fans Regarding the People's Choice Awards
We should have known that as soon as we ran some stills from "Supernatural" Episode 7.10, "Death's Door" (see those here), The CW would release showrunner Sera Gamble's introduction of the ep. But, even better than that, we also have a peek at a new video featuring stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki asking fans to vote for The People's Choice Awards in their own special way.
Tonight marks the midseason finale of "Supernatural", and it looks to be a doozy with Bobby traveling back to the past, introducing us to his parents as well as himself as a young boy. Check out these stills from the episode, entitled "Death's Door", for a sneak peek at what's in store for him... and us.
Ever since Sara Canning's character was killed off in "The Vampire Diaries", we've been wondering when she'd pop up next, and today we have our answer. "Supernatural" has signed her to guest star as a "lust interest" for Jensen Ackles’ demon warrior known as Dean Winchester.
Another supernatural themed chiller is on its way from New Regency, and though details are on the extremely scant side of the fence, we do have some initial rumblings for you right here. Dig it!
"Supernatural" takes a week off before returning to The CW on December 2nd with its midseason finale, "Death's Door". If you saw last Friday night's episode, you know very well who is approaching said door. Let's see if this preview gives any indication of if life or death prevails.
More guest casting news for your Friday afternoon, this time involving DC favorite "Supernatural". Jason Dohring ("Ringer", "Moonlight", "Veronica Mars") will be appearing in the 12th episode of the show's seventh season as Chronos, the God of Time.

To say "Supernatural" has hit its stride this season would be quite an understatement. The last couple of episodes have been fantastic, and we have high hopes for the upcoming November 18th episode, "How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters", since it's Jersey Devil themed and written by Ben Edlund. Check out the preview and a clip from the ep to see if you agree.
Sera Gamble Discusses What Dean Is Thinking in Supernatural Episode 7.08 - Season 7, Time for a Wedding!
We're big fans of The CW's approach of having showrunners provide video introductions to episodes of their shows, and we have for you here the latest: executive producer Sera Gamble discussing tonight's "Supernatural" Episode 7.08, "Season 7, Time for a Wedding!"
We still have a couple of episodes to go until "Supernatural" joins its fellow CW series on winter hiatus, but we already are looking ahead to 2012 when the show returns to the airwaves with a few new guest stars. First up are Meghan Ory, who'll be appearing in Episode 7.11, airing January 6th, and Nicholas Lea, who shows up the next week in 7.12.
The CW is keeping "Supernatural" on the air a bit longer this winter than most of the network's other shows, and we're excited about Episode 7.10, "Death's Door", airing December 2nd, which sees the return of showrunner Sera Gamble to the role of screenwriter. Plus it features Jim Beaver, and that's always a good sign.
