Zombie Dishes Lots of Halloween 2 News
With Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 quickly becoming a reality, little bits of news have trickled out here and there such as casting announcements, etc. How about some real details?
With their "Shock N Roll" feature our brothers over at Icons of Fright have published the most extensive interview with the man himself to date.
"This is really going to be Laurie’s movie," Zombie tells Shock N Roll scribe and fellow filmmaker Tim Sullivan. "It takes place over some time, but it starts that night and then essentially, I mean… in the first one, Laurie has no idea what just happened. But then she wakes up the next day and someone’s going, 'Oh, by the way, your parents are dead. All your friends are dead. And actually, your brother is, uh, Charles Manson.' (Laughs) You know? 'How do you feel about that?' That’s really the place that she’s in. She is now… everyone she knows is basically dead, and she is related to the person that did it all and doesn’t even know who the fuck she is. So it’s really the journey of figuring out who she is."

The blokes behind the upcoming horror comedy Lesbian Vampire Killers just dropped us a line with a trio of new images from the film, which you can see below. The film stars the “Gavin & Stacey” one-two punch of James Corden and Matthew Horne, playing two guys looking to get away for a weekend of debauchery only to come face-to-fang with a village overrun by hot lesbian vampires! Doesn’t sound too bad to me…

I'm not hotly anticipating this, and I can't say I've truly liked any of his movies, but the fucker ALWAYS manages to say a couple things that make me stop, consider, and thing "hell, THIS might be the one."
His best movie, TDR, came out of something I hated, Ho1000C, so it's very possible that this will be better than Halloween.
There are some things that worry me, like the fact that he thinks if the movie was split into tow (ie. was MUCH longer) then Halloween would have been better. But he has some really interesting ideas that make me not want to dismiss it right out of hand.
Damn you, Mr. Zombie.

I still say Joe Grizzly should be the new Ahab (if Myers is still alive for a sequel so can he) replacing Loomis altogether and have it be about him looking to get even on Myers lol

Well, if it's more than just a chase movie through a hospital - with some T&A thown in for good measure - then I'm willing to give it a shot. Let's face it... NOTHING could be as bad as the two Rosenthal entries in this franchise!

"Well, it’s going to pick up right at the next second. Ya know, when I was making that movie, it was really funny… I had struggled with the Laurie Strode character through the whole movie. Within the sense that, I usually work with darker characters like Captain Spaulding and Otis. Those are the characters I really feel like I understand. By the time I got to the end of the movie when Laurie Strode was all smacked up and covered in blood, holding a gun, and screaming, I was like “THAT’S the Laurie Strode movie I want to make!”"
Oh, no. Get the hell away from this movie, Rob.
