Zane Gets Mad

I really thought the “Tales From the Crypt” film series would do well considering its first entry, Demon Knight, was a really fun movie. I also thought there would be a very good genre career for star Billy Zane, who absolutely owned in his role.
Both predictions were way off, but at least Zane is getting back to the red stuff thanks to a new “zomedy” called, simply, The Mad. The film is about a supply of beef that goes very wrong and turns anyone who eats it into flesh-hungry ghouls, which ruins the vacation of a doctor (Zane) and his teenage daughter when they roll into the wrong truck stop.
Not much is out there about it, but you can check out The Mad MySpace page right here for the trailer. I gotta admit it looks like a lot of fun, despite how oversatured the zombie genre is these days. Those attending the Canadian Filmmakers Festival (March 22nd-25th) will be the first to see it, so I’m sure we’ll hear more very soon!
