West Catches a Second Fever
I guess the question of whether a sequel to Eli Roth’s debut film Cabin Fever is or is not necessary is moot since we’re not really the ones to make such calls (yet), so we move on and hope Lionsgate has our best interests in mind when banging out a sequel.
A good sign that they do, indeed, want us to be happy is the recent news overheard by some of Fangoria’s sharp-eared reporters that Lauren Moews, producer of the original Fever, is moving forward on a sequel with The Roost director Ti West in the director’s chair. Not a bad move for a man who shot a little indie film that made a lot of fans happy.
West is finishing up work on his sophomore effort, Trigger Man, and then he’s off to deal with that nasty flesh-eating virus anew. Word on the street is that West has some original ideas for the sequel to make sure it’s not just more kids in the woods drinking bad water. Perhaps it goes global this time? Now that’d be badass.
Wish Dr. Mombo could come back in our forums!
