Every actor should have the freedom to say to his director, "If this movie’s not good, I’m going to punch you in the face. Publicly."
Unfortunately Uwe Boll is pretty much the only director you could both say that to and actually follow through on with little to no repercussions, but I guess it’s good there’s at least one of ‘em out there. Zack Ward promised to do that to Boll if Postal wasn’t as funny as everyone hoped it would be, and something tells me he’ll be winding up his arm soon enough.
Ward’s face is all over the promotional material for the film, so if it doesn’t do well, he’s going to have good reason to let the fists fly. And if you get the same vibe off him I did in the interview just posted over on Virtual Chainsaw, you might agree that the man deserves some success.
In it Ward discusses both Postal and Bloodrayne 2, two Uwe Boll films he’s got fairly big roles in (he plays Billy the Kid in the Bloodrayne sequel), but all that aside, it’s still a damn good interview as Ward seems like a genuinely cool guy. Check out the whole thing right here, and be sure to hit the official site for Postal to see Ward in action!
