Walking Distance poster(click to see the whole thing! It being Friday the 13th and all, I guess this kind of news just make sense. Was it planned this way or just coincidence? We may never know … Fangoria just got the first look at the poster for Mel House’s Walking Distance, as well as some very cool casting news for the film.

Adrienne King, the girl who cut off Pamela Voorhees’ head in the original Friday the 13th, has jumped on board the already-packed cast. “She told Mel that she really wanted a role she could sink her teeth into, and without spoiling anything, let’s just say that this one more than fits the bill,” producer James LeMarr told the mag. “Adrienne is going to be perfect for the role of Louise Strack. That’s all I can say about her role; we’re keeping the details under wraps. But we can divulge that she will definitely not be playing the girl-next-door type that put her on the map.”

Principal photography kicks off on Monday, and things are looking very good, indeed, for Walking Distance, which Mel describes as “Sick and damaged, but special.” Just how I like my women!

Hit up the film’s MySpace page to keep an eye on the project and of course rest your oculars on Dread Central for the latest!
