**UPDATED** New Black Sheep Pic!
I’m not sure if we told you before or not -- we do so much it’s hard to keep track sometimes -- but the New Zealand sheeps-gone-amok horror movie Black Sheep, notable for its creature designs by the one and only Weta, has its premiere set for Sunday, September 10th, 2006, at the Toronto International Film Festival.
TIFF has put up a page for the film which includes a nice, long plot synopsis, as well as a new and fantastically bizarre pic that you can see above (the bigger version provided courtesy of Black Magic). Black Sheep is the story of what happens when the New Zealand countryside, covered in its population of 40 million sheep, becomes overrun with a genetically altered breed who thirst for human blood.
As you can probably tell, the film plays the laughs side of things more than it does the serious notion of animals regaining control of humans. Look for more release details after (I’m sure) someone scoops it up at TIFF, and hit their page for the film here for the full synopsis.
Update: Another new pic has surfaced. Check it out below!
