The Eye!UPDATE: Ah! I was off. The two-disc set isn’t going to use some sort of ocular play on words to help push the DVD. Fangoria just put up the artwork for the upcoming release (seen to the right) and the new art for The Eye 3.

I knew Lionsgate wouldn’t pass up the chance to release the Jessica Alba “>The Eye (review) remake as both a two-disc set and a single-disc version. Now, I am still betting on what they’re going to tag it as: Double Exposure Edition maybe?

The cover art hasn’t been released yet, but Fangoria got word that The Eye’s DVD release on June 3rd will include the following special features:

  • “Shadow World: The Paranormal Past” featurette
  • “Becoming Sydney” featurette
  • “Birth of the Shadowman” featurette
  • “Dissecting a Disaster” featurette
  • Deleted scenes
  • Theatrical trailer
  • iTunes and Windows Media digital copies of the film

For the purists out there, the Pang Brothers’ The Eye 3 (AKA The Eye: Infinity or The Eye 10) will also be released come June 24th.

In other DVD news, Fango also found out that George A. Romero’s “>Diary of the Dead (review) will be moaning and shuffling its way onto the digital format on May 20th alongside a new edition of his original Night of the Living Dead. Details on the special features are scarce, but we expect more news shortly.

On June 10th another horror film to hit the stores is “>The Signal (review), which was directed by the trio of David Bruckner, Dan Bush, and Jacob Gentry. Again, no special features or supplements have been announced, but keep it here for the updates as they spread.
