Unearthed Unleashes Cannibal

default-featured-image

Cannibal on DVD (click to see it bigger!)Back in 2003, a man with a lifelong obsession with cannibalism placed an ad on the Internet to find a victim who wanted to be eaten. Amazingly, he found someone, and together the two formed an unspeakable bond of human carnage, most of which was captured on a camcorder, the footage from which was used in the eventual murder trial the cannibal faced.

On December 5th, 2006, Unearthed Films will release Cannibal on a less than unsuspecting public. The film is presented as a dramatic re-enactment of the crimes caught on tape but … were they really crimes? I mean, if a victim is willing, doesn’t he automatically lose the title of “victim”? I guess we’ll find out in a few weeks!

I should mention that this is not the same film as Butterfly: A Grim Love Story, the film that follows the same real-life case that director Martin Weisz did before he was hired on to helm The Hills Have Eyes 2 for Fox Atomic. There’s still no word on when that film will be out here in the States.

The only features on the disc are trailers for more Unearthed releases, but that’s all right; I’m sure a film that is reputed to be as depraved as Cannibal is more than worth the cost of the disc! Click here to pre-order it via Evilshop!
