Underworld 4 Possible?
I never once thought the theatrical future of Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans was in question, but I guess it was by some parties. If you're among those parties, allow me to calm your troubled minds; the prequel will, indeed, be in theaters. I know this because Lakeshore Entertainment pres Tom Rosenberg told me.
Well, not me, exactly, but rather the folks at Collider in a recent interview about Lakeshore's future output. Rosenberg is very happy with Underworld 3, so much so that he’s now looking past a trilogy; ”I think it’s the strongest story that we’ve put together of the three.” he told the site, ”I think it’s really terrific. I think it leads to a 4th. When we did the 1st Underworld, we imagined three--the 1st one, a sequel and then a prequel. The 3rd is a prequel, so the 4th would carry on where Kate and Scott Speedman left off after 2, so I think this is going to be terrific...”
Interesting ... though one has to wonder how interested Speedman and Beckinsale would be to reprise their roles after a them-less prequel, no? Right now all I care about is that the next movie is told from the perspective of the werewolves, which means effects man-cum-director Patrick Tatopoulos will be making the lycans bigger and badder. Never a bad thing, that!

It’s being reported this morning via Upcoming Film Scores that a slew of new sci-fi/horror movies are finally settling on composers, and since this is the first time I’ve heard mention of the upcoming Tale of Two Sisters remake (pictured) in quite a while, it’s worth a mention as it’s a very good sign that the film is nearly done. How good it will be still remains to be seen.

Meh, I don't care. The movies are okay.
