Twilight Undergoing Reshoots!

I know Syxx usually likes to handle all the Twilight news himself, but as a belated birthday present, I thought I'd give him a break and cover this update. It's "Twilight Tuesday" over at MTV News, and they've got the scoop on some reshoots that will hopefully help the film live up to its hype.
Typically reshoots mean there's something amiss with a project, but according to Peter Facinelli, who plays vampire patriarch Carlisle Cullen, it's the opposite. The new scenes are primarily flashbacks expanding on the history of the Cullen family along with a reappearance at the end by Bella's childhood friend Jacob Black. "They liked it so much, they are bringing us back for some encore time — to beef it up," Facinelli said. "A little salt and pepper."
Not convinced? According to Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob, the shoots were planned before Summit Entertainment snagged the Thanksgiving weekend release date. "I know they've been showing it to some people, and some people go, 'I want to see a little more of this,' or, 'I don't quite understand this.'"
