I seriously doubt anyone, the man himself included, ever though Richard Band’s scores for movies like Puppetmster, Re-Animator and Troll would ever be considered classics by anyone, but apparently someone out there has taken them very seriously.
Music from the Movies got word that Intrada will be releasing Band’s score for the underappreciated 1986 fantasy/horror film Troll, which is really overdue for an SE DVD release if you ask me, as part of their ongoing “Signature Collection”. The score was arranged in five lengthy suites by the composer and is actually a lot better than I believe anyone remembers. Whether that makes it worthy of an special CD release is up to those putting it out, I guess.
