Troll Remake Brings Back Phil

Holy shit. It’s back!
Bloody Disgusting reports today that genre icon Phil Fondacaro will be reprising his role as Professor Malcom Mallory in the newest remake on the block — John Carl Buechler’s Troll!
“While we are seeking many of the original cast for cameo roles, Phil has made this part uniquely his. For me, he is the only one who can play this chatracter. I created this role for him in the original movie, and can see no one else playing it in the remake,” says writer/director Buechler.
In addition to this interesting bit of news, the official site for the new Troll (why did typing that make me laugh?) just opened its doors for its pre-launch! Hit up that link to check it out.
Now if only someone could remake Troll 2. Who wouldn’t want to revisit the land of Nilbog? That’s goblin spelled backwards, ya know!
