Trio Up for Goyer's Possession Flick
Though still lacking a title, that’s not stopping David Goyer’s next movie from going ahead with some pretty impressive casting. As we told you about last month, Goyer’s possession story is ready to roll on March 3rd and today The Hollywood Reporter caught wind of some names being considered for the film.
Gary Oldman (Batman: The Dark Knight), Odette Yustman (Cloverfield) and Cam Gigandet (“The O.C.”) are all in negotiations to star in the possession story, which tells of a 19-year-old girl who is being haunted by a dybbuk, the spirit of a person barred from heaven. Yustman would fill the shoes of said girl, while Gigandet would play her boyfriend and Oldman a spiritual specialist who helps the girl understand what’s happening to her.
Does that mean he’ll be the guy who stops the movie at some point to explain everything that’s going on to the audience? More than likely. Platinum Dunes is producing the film, so don’t expect anything too risqué but hey, at least it’s not a remake!
