Trick ‘r Treat Early this Year

Like any good horror junky, I love Halloween. It isn’t about the candy, the protesting Christians or the cavities. No, Halloween for me was always about the f’ing costumes! There’s nuttin’ quite like walking into one of those large stores that opens each year just to see what sorts of new masks have been molded.
One of those Halloween retails, HalloweenCostumes4U, has for sale something very interesting. The mask you see to the right is the one worn by the character Sam in writer/director Michael Dougherty’s Trick ‘r Treat, but the catch is … it is being sold this year.
Trick ‘r Treat, a collection of four interwoven stories starring Dylan Baker, Anna Paquin and the great Brian Cox got booted from a 2007 release and is scheduled for sometime in 2008. A bit odd that Warner Brothers would start selling merchandise this early in the game, don’t ya think?
Does this mean the film may make an appearance this year? Probably not. The WB probably just wants to start the hype early, but it was a nice thought to entertain. So, while we all wait in agony for the pics final release check out the Trick ‘r Treat archive and buy Sam’s kick ass mask!
