Trailer for Redux of Hitchcock's The Lodger
The first trailer for David Ondaatje’s remake of one of Hitchcock’s earliest films, The Lodger, has found its way onto Apple’s official site, which in turn lead it into our loving arms.
For those of you playing along at home, check out some official Lodger plot: Alfred Molina, Hope Davis, and Simon Baker star in a terrifying adaptation of the book on which Alfred Hitchcock’s silent classic is also based. The Lodger follows a grizzled detective on the trail of a ruthless killer intent on slaughtering prostitutes along West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip. It appears that the murderer’s grisly methods are identical to that of London’s infamous 19th Century psychopath Jack the Ripper - a relentless serial killer who was never caught by police. To make matters worse, the detective soon notices the parallels between the crimes committed by the West Hollywood stalker and those of a serial murderer incarcerated years ago.
Well, it’s no Jack’s Back, but still nice to see a story about a killer emulating the infamous British psycho. The Lodger redux will be in theaters on December 31st, though I’m sure its time there will be short, at best. Enlighten your ocular senses with the trailer below!

Though I don’t fully understand the implications of this announcement, I know what it means to horror fans: The end of Horrorclix is nigh. The Topps Company announced today that it would immediately cease operations of Horrorclix makers WizKids, which is also responsible for the superhero-oriented game Heroclix.

Awesome cast! Davis always seems so real, and Molina and Baker are usually great also. Hope it gets a good run.

It looks interesting, I wonder how much of Hitchcock's version will have seeped into this version....I'm also curious to see if they going the way Hitchcock originally wanted but wasn't able to go.
