Toy Fair 08: Hellboy & His Gun

We learned through Action Figure today that Sideshow Collectibles is planning on releasing Hellboy's trusty side arm, The Samaritan, again. This time around, there's an added bonus.

The gun appears to be exactly the same as before, but check out the new base and ::drum roll:: glowing tracer bullets! Sideshow is proud to bring you this 1:1 scale prop replica of 'The Samaritan,' Hellboy's famous pistol used in the film Hellboy II: The Golden Army. The gun features an opening chamber, which allows you to remove all four metal bullets from the rotating cylinder! The display stand features the an engraved B.P.R.D logo and four bullet display spaces. The round, red portion of the stand can be easily removed from the base to wall-mounted for alternate display. Each limited edition gun is hand crafted in dense metal with a real wooden grip and authentic leather braid. The Samaritan replica pistol is hand crafted to Sideshow's exacting standards, ready to take its place in your Hellboy display!

While we're on the subject of Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Action Figure has uploaded fresh pics of the film's 3.75" tie-in toys. Mezco is producing a line of smaller HB figures that will have all the same articulation as the taller 7" line; and the first series will include Liz Sherman, Hellboy, Wink and ectoplasmic badass Johann Krauss. The second lineup in the 3.75" toys will be comprised of the Angel of Death, Prince Nauda, Abe Sapien and a different version of Hellboy.
