To Hell with Adriana Barraza!
A Movieland blog let loose today that Adriana Barraza, whose acting credits include "ER" and Alejandro González Iñárritu's Babel, has been cast in Sam Raimi's Drag Me to Hell.
In response to her working on Raimi's first horror film in sixteen years, Adriana had this to say, "I will do things that I love. I love the genre fiction and terror. I've seen a lot, I read a lot, but is the first time, I was always touched melodrama, tragedy or piece, but of terror, nor in theatre .... The times I have spoken by phone with Raimi, initially, was very seriously, but when I told him that I felt incredible and fun (the project), was thrilled. I've seen all his previous films, and I think that as long as you do your job with honesty and you're happy, it's worth doing what you want done, while not shame you, and me, that I love."
While the article does not mention which role Adriana will be playing in the tale about a woman stricken by a supernatural curse, you can always click here and take a guess.

Today, thanks to IMP Awards, we got a chance to look at the first official one sheet for the upcoming CGI film Igor. Anthony Leondis may not have a lot of directorial experience with animated films, but I've got faith that the wealth of material available for him to draw from will be put to good use.
