Title, Info Update on Gehenna Project!

Remember the untitled movie Jason Connery (son of Sean) is directing that we told you about recenlty (“No Title, Huge Cast for Gehenna Project” – November 2007)? A quick check for it on the IMDB has some info that we wanted to squash before it goes too far.
If you look it up in the database, you’ll find it being called Ice 44 which, we have learned from a source close to both us and the production, is not the title, though it is one that’s been discussed before.
Serendipitously, we also got an e-mail yesterday from a reader with some more info on the film; info that warms the proverbial cockles. “Henry Rollins has a very large role in the film as one of the most wired, tripped out, over-the-top holy men you’ll ever see on film!” Our scooper exclaimed. If this is true, consider Hollywood justice served. He goes on; “Also, don’t believe the press release that said this was about a bunch of soldiers going to a underground base. It’s about a bunch of soldiers all right, but they go a lot farther underground; these soldiers go straight to hell — literally!”
All right, now I’m really curious about this one. The moniker Untitled Gehenna Project makes more sense now, since “gehenna” is the Jewish hell, so of course the soldiers would be making their way there. Now it’s just a matter of figuring out what they find when they arrive!
