The Art of Casting Sweeny Todd

All right, first off I apologize for missing this for almost two full days. As you can see, things have been changing ’round these parts, and damnit, we were just too excited to concentrate.
Anyway, Fangoria got the first look at the cool art you see to your right (that’s called “key art” in industry speak) for Tim Burton’s film adaptation of the musical Sweeney Todd. As you can see, principal photography started up on Monday the 5th, so of course some final casting choices have come to light as well.
The mag learned that Timothy Spall, Christopher Lee, and Anthony Stewart Head (Giles from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” for you heathens) have nabbed roles alongside Johnny Depp, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Helena Bonham Carter in the musical. Now that is just some damn sexy casting if you ask me.
The film is aiming for release sometime next year, so expect to hear a lot about it between now and then…
