Teo’s Journey to Dark OZ

default-featured-image

Dark OzWe just got word from Quiet Earth‘s Don Neumann that a director has joined them to helm at least one of the planned three films based off the badass comic Dark OZ. The Gene Generation‘s own Pearry Reginald Teo will be stepping up to the plate for what we’ve been told will be a very Return to OZ and “steampunk” inspired adaptation.

This follows the news that Pras Michel of The Fugees has inked to play the Scarecrow. The Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and the other citizens of the land over the rainbow are yet to be cast, but more on that should surface soon since cameras are set to roll by the end of ’08.

Caliber Comic’s Dark OZ takes us to a totally different land of witches, munchkins and ruby slippers. Once familiar friends are possessed by evil, Ozma is at the Gnome King’s side and Dorothy is nowhere to be found. Frank L. Baum could have never imagined this!
