Teodora Film Picks Up Ricky

One of the main aspects of Pan’s Labyrinth that led to it being called a masterpiece by so many is Guillermo’s choice of actors. Sergi Lopez especially stood out as the evil stepfather, and today Variety reports that he’s boarding another horror/fantasy film called Ricky.
Directed by “See the Sea” short helmer Francois Ozon, Ricky will be a genre-mashing film with traces of humor, horror, fantasy and sci-fi. The story is about the titular boy, a child with supernatural powers. Not a whole helluva lot to go on there, but we’ll be keeping an eye on it.
Ozon will play the ordinary father of the extraordinary child. He got his start in films like With a Friend Like Harry, playing Harry, a man who inserts himself into an ordinary couple’s life and starts causing havoc. Ricky will roll in Pairs later this month.
