Though it’s been floating out there with its off-putting imagery for a few months now, we’ve yet to hear an official release strategy for Bryan Baertino’s The Strangers until now, if you can believe it.
STYD got the word from an insider that Universal will be putting The Strangers in theaters come May 30th, 2008, giving it a wide theatrical release. Good thing, since the movie actually looks pretty creepy and I, for one, was worried it’d get banished to direct-to-DVD land if much more time went by.
The Strangers tells of a couple (Scott Speedman and Liv Tyler) who are targeted by three strangers (hence the title) in creepy masks. Check out an older trailer for it below, and look for an updated preview soon!
