Stockwell Finds Sanctuary
Word has come down via Variety this morning that a director has been chosen to helm Sanctuary, the Stephen Susco-scripted adaptation of John Connolly’s novel Bad Men.
Said helmer is none other than John Stockwell, who last underwhelmed us with 2006’s Turistas, but will hopefully show that it was just a fluke and he really can direct a good scary movie. He more than likely won't have hot girls in bikinis to fall back on like he did for Turistas and Blue Crush, which should force him to grow.
Sanctuary is the story of a woman who seeks the titular refuge on the eponymous island off the coast of Maine. Of course, the island is said to be haunted, which she soon finds out the hard way is very true.

Well Sony and Nintendo didn?t really have much for us horror fans at their conferences, which is a shame since both have high profile horror titles heading to their systems, but that doesn?t mean that we don?t still have a stack of stuff to update you on.

"Oh yes, there will be bikinis!"
Any time you have a leading lady mixed with "island(s)" you get bikini. Using his track record as proof of course.

He's like reverse David DeCouteau...in other words, every other director in Hollywood.
