Big updates from the folks at SOTA Toys today, and you guys are going to dig it!
However, before we get into the badass toys that will be out soon, I wanted to mention some of the behind the scenes changes that took place at SOTA recently. Company founder Jerry Macaluso has decided to move on from the world of toys to the world of films, taking leave of the toy construction to try his hand at directing. The company didn’t make mention of who will be stepping into Macaluso’s position, but we can rest assured we’ll still be seeing the same quality badass figures coming from the company that we’ve come to expect after all these years.
All right, back to the toys! Now Playing Series 3, their first series of toys that will feature the Dread Central logo you all know and love on the packaging, will be hitting stores early next month. Meg Mucklebones from Legend, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen from Dune and, especially appealing to horror fans, 
a werewolf from Dog Soldiers, are all a part of the series, as well as the Mega Scale Pumpkinhead. The werewolf you see here is one of two “bloody” variants (one brown and one gray) that will available through SOTA’s website as well as certain retailers.
But here’s what we’ve really all been waiting for; The Nightmares of Lovecraft! Also hitting stores next month, you’ll be able to find a special Black Cthulhu variant (pictured in it’s new home) through all Diamond Comic resellers, and Source Comics and Games will have another exclusive version of the Elder God. That’ll only be available through their stores in Minnesota and on the convention circuit, so it will truly be a collector’s item.
Of course you could always just do the right thing and click here to get Now Playing Series 3 through Evilshop, and click around the Entertainment Earth site to grab some of Lovecraft’s Nightmares while you’re at it!
